Govt School Education system in India

It was year 1989-90 when I joined Govt School for my primary education. That was the time when teachers were with very good quality and they loved this profession. That was the time when teachers were seriously teaching in Govt schools because at that time only few private schools were there in villages and small towns. Also teachers were not overloaded with some other works like elections, population counting, family planning etc etc.

But within few years, scenario started changing when education became business in the country. Lots of private schools started opening. And private schools attracted parents with providing grater facilitates and with introducing English in school curriculum. It had lots of impact on Govt schools since Govt did not revise their plan and did not take private schools as challenge. Also In the same time teachers were engaged in lots of Govt works like elections etc.Slowly slowly teachers lost their interest and Govt schools started failing in all the fields. Now the situation is worst. As per latest information’s the results of board exam in Govt schools are very bad and also teachers are not coming to schools for teaching.Schools have big staffs but one or two teachers are coming into schools at a time and they are with 100 percent attendance record of teachers.

Corruption also played a big role for making it worst over the years.

Now what next??

Now what shall we do to improve Govt education system: - First thing is that Govt must need to stop engaging people into other activities like election duties etc. Rather Govt must recruit other people for that purpose so that teachers can concentrate on education and employment of India will also increase by this.
Teachers must understand their responsibility and importance of this cause. They must understand that their teaching is capable of changing the life of individual and capable of changing the life of country as well.

There must be tight monitoring of all the activities in education system and corruption must end in education system.

Parents whose children are studying in Govt School must be aware and must make a complaint if teachers fail to educate.

Govt need to invest huge amount of money in Govt Schools and must compete the private schools in terms of quality of education, infrastructure and facilities. They need to understand the mindset of parents and must work towards attracting parents to join their children in Govt School.
